Instead of repeating the same preferences every time you run an agent, you can set them once in the agent’s settings.
Custom Instructions are currently available on select agents, including Meeting Prep and Meeting Follow-up.

About Custom Instructions

Custom Instructions are free-text field where you describe your business or product, your target customers or ICP, your industry or market, and your preferred communication style and tone—such as casual, formal, direct, or detailed—so the agent can tailor its outputs accordingly.
  • Agents use this information to adjust:
    • Tone
    • Level of detail
    • Length of responses
    • Overall style and framing

Set Custom Instructions

  1. Open a supported agent (such as Meeting Prep or Meeting Follow-up)
  2. Go to the agent’s Settings
  3. Open the Preferences tab
  4. Find the Custom Instructions section
  5. Enter your instructions in the text field
  6. Save your changes

How It Works

Custom Instructions are saved per agent and applied automatically every time the agent runs. You can update them at any time, but you only need to set them once for the agent to start using them. For Meeting Prep and Meeting Follow-up, these instructions are woven into each section of the output. The agents use them to adjust tone, match your business context, and tailor summaries and recommendations to your audience, so the results reflect how you typically communicate.
